Strategies for Process Plant Reliability and Maintenance

About the Course

The goal of this course is to impart reliability engineering skills that may be used to increase process system dependability and create maintenance plans. You will do statistical analysis of failures, model system performance, and propose maintenance and reengineering strategies to enhance overall performance using contemporary software and analysis techniques.

Target Audience

Improvements in process equipment and systems' dependability, availability, condition monitoring, and maintainability are made by maintenance, engineering, and operations employees. Participants should have a basic understanding of statistical analysis and equipment reliability approaches.

Course Objectives

  • enhancing the dependability of new systems and facilities Design for reliability and maintainability Creating the first maintenance strategy
  • Virtual equipment walk-down; simulation and modeling-based criticality; creating baseline condition monitoring programs, lubrication programs, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) process-specific maintenance methods
  • enhancing the dependability of current systems and facilities
  • Plots of process reliability are examined to estimate the opportunity
  • Failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action systems (FRACAS) for ongoing improvement creating guidelines and processes; Creating root cause analysis (RCA) systems, statistical analysis of failures using Weibull, and establishing failure reporting codes (RCA triggers and recommendation analysis)
  • Creating maintenance plans while monitoring conditions
  • determining the methods of condition monitoring that are appropriate; calculating the level of condition monitoring application utilizing criticality; and asset health reports
  • Creating maintenance plans with RCM
  • creating policies and processes, selecting analysis systems, evaluating suggestions using simulation and modeling, and putting recommendations into practice
  • monitoring outcomes
  • Knowing the key performance indicator (KPI)'s (s) actual purpose
  • The creation of reliable and maintainable KPIs

Course Outlines

  • Criticality assessment
  • Simulation and modeling of availability Weibull statistical analysis of failures
  • Development of maintenance strategies, condition monitoring, reliability-focused maintenance, and basic care
  • Analysis of process reliability Root cause investigation
  • systems for failure reporting, analysis, and remediation Key performance measures
  • Definitions of reliability
