Overview of the HOOV Heavy Oil Resources

 About the Course

Although it is at the Basic level, this course is sufficiently in-depth and broadly focused to be appealing to a wide range of students, including non-technical, administrative, and business groups as well as scientists and engineers who are interested in learning more about the heavy oil industry. The global oil reserve includes a sizable portion of heavy oil.

The current in-situ thermal production techniques and commercial mining both make significant contributions to global oil output. Given the relatively recent commercial implementations of these technologies, production volumes in the future are unpredictable due to hotly contested environmental issues.

This course examines the applications objectively from a practical standpoint, outlining their advantages and drawbacks. understanding of Heavy Oil Resources gives a general understanding of the geology, commercial viability, and other elements of heavy oil resources. Exercises and class problems are included in this course to reinforce the lecture. Each participant will receive the information they need to gain a comprehensive understanding of heavy oil development.

 Target Audience

anyone who needs to understand heavy oil resources better, regardless of discipline.

 Course Objectives

  •  Finding, developing, and producing heavy oil resources: geology and engineering challenges pertaining to the significance of heavy oil deposits in the current global energy industry
  • How to assess the difficulties and possibilities for comprehending and enhancing the environmental impact necessary to explore, develop, and produce heavy oil resources
