Operations and Maintenance of LNG Facilities

 About the Course

An introduction of field operations is given throughout this five-day LNG facilities course, along with a thorough examination of the machinery and procedures used inside the plant. The AP-C3MR and ConocoPhillips Optimized Cascade Processes, the two most popular kinds of LNG liquefaction procedures, are covered in the course. Exercises and challenges in class concentrate on applying theory to operational trends so that operators may better understand their workflows and become more adept at seeing concerns and solving issues before output is negatively impacted. The course material is freely adaptable to client demands.

Target Audience

LNG facility operators who need to be familiar with the numerous procedures used in LNG facilities, as well as the typical operational issues that may occur and the operational strategies employed to address them. Also appropriate for maintenance specialists, managers, and other non-engineering staff members who would profit from knowing how to apply gas processing methods in their regular work duties.

Course Objectives

  •  a description of typical field operations and an overview of oil and gas processing
  • The necessary feed quality requirements for LNG installations, along with concerns about typical pollutants Equipment for separation, with a focus on crucial equipment for LNG facilities
  • Acid gas removal units (AGRU) for LNG facilities: operational considerations
  • Processes for LNG gas dehydration, such as pre-cooling and molecular sieving Processes for removing mercury from LNG, as well as facility location and performance Operation and problems of centrifugal compressors
  • Principles for operating a refrigeration system with propane, cascades, and mixed refrigerants Regional NGL stabilization and fractionation processes
