Oil and Gas Production Using Applied Water Technology
About the Course
The principal water handling systems generally found in upstream (E&P) production activities, both onshore and offshore, are briefly covered in this course. We'll discuss the chemistry behind the four basic water-related issues of mineral scales, corrosion, bacteria, and greasy water from both a theoretical and practical standpoint. Water injection and disposal systems, typical water quality requirements, and produced water treatment equipment will all be examined. An activity will be provided to help you recognize common system issues and use what you learn to suggest fixes. The focus will be on comprehending and fixing operational issues with process equipment.
Target Audience
Managers, engineers, chemists, and operators must comprehend the issues with water in oil and gas production and how to fix them.
