Facilities for the Operations and Maintenance of Oil and Gas Processing

 About the Course

The common production / processing facilities in the areas where the course is being held determine the public course's content. There are courses with an emphasis on gas or LNG, gas or expander plants, or oil, water, or gas. Keep in mind that the North Sea content also includes generated water treatment. The course can be altered without charging extra to accommodate customer demands.

Target Audience

Facility operators who need to be familiar with the many techniques for conditioning and processing production fluids, as well as the typical operational issues that may occur and the operational strategies utilized to address them. Also appropriate for maintenance specialists, managers, and other non-engineering staff members who would benefit from knowing how to apply gas processing methods to their everyday tasks.

Course Objectives

  • Regarding how produced fluid compositions (oil, gas, and water) affect facility operation
  • pertaining to activities for oil, gas, and generated water stream separation, conditioning, and processing to fulfill product criteria for disposal or reuse
  • How to run buildings to cut running expenses
  • How to use the lessons learned in class to troubleshoot unit operations and equipment

Course Outlines

  • Fundamental chemistry and physical laws pertaining to hydrocarbons a brief description of gas processing
  • Basics of phase behavior mass transfer procedures Sweetening of amine gas
  • Behavior of water and hydrocarbons, including hydrate formation Dehydration of TEG gas
  • dependable bed absorbers
  • Automated refrigeration expansion of gas NGL recovery (Joule-Thompson effect with turbo expanders) NGL fractionation and stabilization
  • laus recovery of sulfur
