Facilities for CO2 Surface
About the Course
This course focuses on how carbon dioxide affects the choice and use of equipment (separators, compressors, and dehydrators), as well as equipment used in the sweetening process. This program, which was first presented in 1985, offers assistance to those who operate with carbon dioxide or natural gas with a high carbon dioxide content. This course is especially relevant to individuals who run enhanced oil recovery (EOR) facilities that use CO2 as a miscible agent or who design them. Data on the physical and thermodynamic properties of mixes of carbon dioxide and natural gas are discussed. Calculations are made to demonstrate concepts and procedures. If a plant tour is offered (only for Midland public course sessions or in-house sessions), an additional day will be added to the course.
Target Audience
engineers and senior operating staff who work with CO2, N2, and CO2 EOR systems.
