About the Course
This five-day course aims to advance knowledge of the engineering capabilities specific to the deep water environment and well design. Participants receive great insight into the job of a DW drilling engineer as a project manager while actively participating in the skills and activities necessary to develop a well plan that is cost-effective. Prerequisites for the course include 3+ years of drilling experience and 2+ years of work experience in a well planning capacity for onshore or shallow water applications.
Target Audience
experienced drilling engineers, drilling managers, and other petroleum specialists who are new to deep water (DW) drilling and who will be in charge of planning DW wells or overseeing DW wells that are not being operated. As a prerequisite, the ten day Well Design and Engineering (WDE) course or its equivalent is strongly advised.
